The annual event tagged “Asa Day” is organized by ASA Day, Inc. Canada, In conjunction with the federal government of Nigeria, and will be held on the 25th and 26th of November, 2022. This year’s theme is “Impact of our cultural Heritage on Global Economy.” Among the event activity, there would be storytelling, stage plays, music, dance, folklore, ewa oge, igbetawa, ewi, egun, eyo, sango, among others. There are numerous side attractions, including Yoruba foodorama, and business summits.
Our storytelling and stage play transcends from the richness of our culture, “nigba tawa” basically showcasing how things were done in the olden days as it was written.
If you don’t show it, it is not big enough. If you don’t present it, it is not tenable; if it isn’t seen, it is not presentable. Our culture and heritage come with pride, affirmation and significance
Music is life, and dancing is exercise. Dance away that sorrow; you will see much of this with our community, with our star musician billed to perform. Safejo, a top-notch fuji musical icon, will be on a bandstand.
Our culture is rich, and so is our heritage; get connected and updated with our blog updates and feel free to dig into our achievements from past activities. If you have anything you wish to share with us, please feel free to do so.
