Asa Museum
We are friends to the drummers and the patron to the strings; in our culture, painting has eyes, our sculpture answers the bells with eloquent ease, and the integration of our social norms and values will continue to speak the language of the thousands of years.
We can see the beauty that lies in the belly of wood long before the carver turns its fate into a masterpiece; from afar, we perceive the loaded music of a distant drum so that when the future demands your origin, you shall trace your history to our memory house.
Installations have manners; they speak a thousand years' language and salute the guest with lunar winks. Sculptures have a mouth; they compliment the guest with a royal mien. If the future demands to know your name, you shall trace your history to our memory house.
We know that history is almost extinct in our ivory tower. The preservation of our past is important because we are saving our visual citadel (our communal Museum) from the grip of the termites through our sacrifice, selflessness, dedication and loyalty to our culture
Our cultural celebrations beckon at the guest with lunar winks because of the cheers of wonderous treasure to behold. Our art in the Museum ushers our guests to the gallery hub with dignity and pride, most notably because that is who we are and what we do.
Please book an appointment for a museum tour with Baba Asa and his team to see our Museum's unique art, symbols and masterpiece. The first of its kind in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
